Lumaya is a projection-mapping app for iPhone and iPad, made by CRTVT (“we”, “us”), a creative studio based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. This policy explains what information Lumaya handles and how. The short version: Lumaya does not collect your personal data. Your projects stay on your device.

1. Information we do not collect

Lumaya has no accounts and no sign-in. We do not collect, store or sell your name, email address, location, contacts, browsing history or any other personal information. Lumaya contains no advertising, no third-party analytics and no tracking SDKs, and it does not track you across other companies’ apps or websites.

2. Information that stays on your device

  • Your projects and scenes. Shapes, mappings, scenes and settings you create are saved locally on your device. They are never uploaded to us.
  • Photos and videos. When you choose to add your own media, iOS lets you pick specific items from your library. Lumaya uses only the items you select, only to display them through your projector. We never receive copies.
  • Microphone (optional). If you turn on beat sync, Lumaya listens to the sound around you to detect the beat in real time. Audio is analysed on your device as it plays. It is not recorded, saved or sent anywhere. You can turn microphone access off at any time in iOS Settings.
  • Projector and screen connections. Lumaya sends its visual output to the display you connect by cable or AirPlay. This connection is handled by iOS and stays between your device and your display.

3. iCloud and device backups

If you use iCloud Backup or back up your device to a computer, your Lumaya projects may be included in those backups. Backups are managed by Apple and by you under your own settings. We have no access to them.

4. Purchases

If Lumaya offers in-app purchases, payment is handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive your payment details. Apple may share limited, non-identifying transaction information with us, such as the fact that a purchase was made, so that the app can unlock what you bought.

5. Diagnostics

If you have chosen to share analytics with app developers in iOS Settings, Apple may provide us with anonymous crash reports and usage statistics. This information does not identify you and is used only to fix problems and improve Lumaya. You can change this at any time in Settings > Privacy & Security > Analytics & Improvements.

6. When you contact us

If you email us for support, we receive your email address and whatever you choose to include in your message. We use it only to reply to you and to improve Lumaya, we do not add you to mailing lists, and we delete support emails when they are no longer needed.

7. Children

Lumaya does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13. Because the app does not collect personal data, there is nothing for us to share.

8. Your choices

  • Turn photo and microphone access on or off at any time in iOS Settings > Lumaya.
  • Delete your projects in the app, or delete the app to remove all of its data from your device.
  • Ask us anything about your privacy at hello@crtvt.com.

9. Changes to this policy

If Lumaya changes in a way that affects your privacy, we will update this page and the date at the top. If a change is significant, we will also mention it in the app’s release notes.
